Contest Details

ENTERING THE CONTEST​

  1. Post something to Instagram that would appeal to new students. Consider sharing your Boo-U story: your favorite professor, your favorite class, your favorite activity, your favorite thing about Boo-U.  Show prospective students why they should apply.

    • REELS- Reels are preferred and the prize for the winning Instagram Reel about Boo-U is $100 and second prize is $50.

    • PHOTOS- Photos are great too! Make sure to caption them with something about why someone would want to attend Boo-U. The prize for the winning photo is $15.

  2. Post to Instagram and tag @friendsofthecampus

  3. Fill out the submission form

CONTEST JUDGING (April 24, 2025)

  • Photo Judging: The photo with the most likes on Instagram will win. The winner will be contacted by the email they provided on their submission form

  • Reel Judging: The 2 reels with the most likes will be screened at our Grape and Gourmet Gala. The audience will vote and the winners will be announced the next week.

  • Share a fun fact people might not know (i.e. campus activities or the bachelors program) (EXAMPLE)

  • Instructions about having a great experience at Boo-U  i.e. making friends, getting involved (Example)

  • Interview your friends about why they love Boo-U (Example)

  • Highlight the personalities in staff and professors at Boo-U (Example)

  • Campus Tour – Show off the coolest spots on campus... in a funny way (Example)

  • This or that... Boo-U edition (plus some fun ones) (Example)

  • A Day in the Life of a Boo-U Student – Highlight a typical day with classes, socializing, and studying. (Example)

  • Why Boo-U? – Students share their personal reasons for choosing Boo-U and why it's the best place to study.

  • Fun Campus Events – Feature clips of exciting campus events and record yourself sharing about your favorite ones.

  • Behind-the-Scenes of Boo-U – Take viewers behind the scenes to see what goes into making Boo-U's events and programs.

  • Meet the Professors – Interview one of your professors.

  • Making Friends at Boo-U – Capture the fun and easy-going atmosphere where students build lifelong friendships.

  • How to Get Involved on Campus – Tips on joining clubs, internships, and events to make the most of college life.
